so what have we got...

So what are the clues so far: 
a greasy mark on a piece of paper, could be sunscreen or body lotion,
a copy of 'Sherlock Holmes', a collection of Emerson's essays, and Freud's 'Totem and Taboo',
a tarnished bracelet, maybe silver or maybe not, quite battered and old,
several hair grips, one of them long and black and difficult to find here so probably not her own,
a piece of pale pink lace from an old ballet tutu, it smells faintly of 'Coty',
an old photgraph of three childen, two of them smiling for the camera and one scowling.
